About your hosts:

Sylvia Lachteris a freelance producer and photo-stylist in advertising photography living in New York. Although trained as a painter, she quickly gravitated to photography and never looked back. She works in advertising photography doing national ads, magazines, packaging, with a specialty in food photography. Her work overlapped into tabletop book publishing, where she has nine titles to her name in cookbooks, lifestyle and crafts. Sylvia works closely with photographers and clients, who often shoot out out of her loft, where they can make use of her extensive table-top prop and backdrop collection to produce award-winning campaigns in print and film for Fortune 500 companies. Her amazing skylit loft in historic Chelsea has been a location in many films and TV episodes.

When not in the city biking around discovering the constantly changing landscape of the city, she’s either out sailing in Long Island Sound, or at the boatyard working on the the restoration of her classic cutter-rigged sailboat Nutmeg of Consolation.
