Liz & Jewels got featured in the “Countlan Magazine”, which is all about how people entertain all around the world. They chose the perfect starter for a autumn dinner: Chestnut soup with mushrooms and thyme. Check out the recipe and the whole issue here.
Photographing drinks is not really Jewel’s specialty. She is not even great at drinking drinks! But for the magazine Cosmopolitan for Latinas she went out of her comfort zone and photographed some beautiful cocktails made by the TV Chef Lorena Garcia. You might know her from Bravo’s “Top Chef All Stars” or NBCs “America’s Next Great Restaurant”. Taking her headshot in a tiny windowless kitchen was definitely a challenge too, but we made it happen and I think she looks great!
Each month we’re contributors to Holly Becker’s wonderful blog decor8 with our “Food in Motion” episode. We show a short video each time showing what we made recently along with the recipe. It’s a great challenge to do moving pictures and we love it! Thanks Holly, for having us!
We’re excited to be featured on 8 pages in the German food magazine 1,2,3 fertig with our blog! Recipes, interview and a little bit about Liz&Jewels’ story.
Jewels’ photos are in the current issue of Good Housekeeping, a very traditional, american magazine. For them she photographed 10 slow cooked stews. Stews are not the most photogenic subject, but Jewels had great help from a food stylist and two food editors, so they managed to make these dishes look pretty:
We’re featured in the 5th edition of the online magazine “SisterMag“! What a great article about our digital-cullinary pen friendship! Thank you, Thea & Antonia, for having us in your beautiful magazine!
What a great start in the day! Our kids-cookbook is mentioned in the newest edition of the beautiful magazine “We love living“. The editor, Caroline, wrote about the book: “Ein traumhaftes Buch, dass ich sofort ins Herz geschlossen habe! Tolle Rezepte, wunderbare Ideen, klasse Layout und superschöne Fotos. Besser geht’s nicht”.
(“A wonderful book, that I took to my heart right away! Great recipes, wonderful ideas, brilliant Layout and beautiful photos. It couldn’t be done better”!)
Wow! We’re smiling from Münster to Brooklyn and back!!!
A little peek behind the scenes: The making-of appeared in the October issue of the “Münster” magazine and gives a little insight on how we produced our third cookbook!
Liz & Jewels workshops are featured in the new issue of the “SisterMAG” (p. 172), an online magazine in German and English. We’re honored to be among so many great bloggers!
Liz and I had the pleasure to work on three cookbooks together so far. The first two books “Anni kocht in Münster“ and “Anni backt in Münster“ were big hits in our home town. The third one is currently being printed and will be published in October.
I had the pleasure of contributing to the April and June issue of the magazine “Münster!” – cooking, styling and taking the shots for the Strawberry-Special. The second story was a special about “Vegetables from the Balcony”.
