We have been exploring a lot of healthy cooking and baking lately. We both like eating what is not only good for us but also sustainable.
But once in a while we need to indulge and throw all good intentions overboard. „Can we make something with lots of butter and real white sugar?“ Liz asked me after our last flourless bread post. So we didn’t take that plan lightly: may we introduce this salted caramel chocolate tart to you? It has about zero healthy aspects to it, but lots of sweet delicious calories!
But we deserve it: we have been eating things like quinoa flakes, red cabbage smoothies, pumpkin pancakes, and red beet gnocchis! Once in a while we are allowed to some really bad food, right??
So please join us on this guilty pleasure. We found the recipe right here.
Quick tip: I reduced the sugar from 60 g to 40 g and still found it plenty sweet. Also a total baking time of 20mins (10+10) instead of 25 (15+10) was sufficient in my kitchen and almost burnt the dough actually. Plus: we skipped the creme fraiche layer…
Now if you’ll excuse us, we a couch to digest on.
